The K&N CM-8009 Air Filter Assembly is a custom-fit, washable and reusable cotton gauze air filter kit with an aluminum billet adapter for 2009-2012 Can-Am Outlander 650 and 800R EFI and Renegade 800R ATVs. It is one of the best air filter upgrades for the 2009-2012 Can-Am Outlander and Renegade because it replaces the restrictive factory filter with a high-flow K&N element that bolts directly into the stock air box and can be cleaned and re-oiled instead of replaced.
K&N Custom Assembly Filter Kits use an adapter that mounts directly to the air box, and the clamp-on K&N air filter then attaches to the adapter. The large mounting surface of the clamp-on filter provides better stability during rigorous riding, and the adapter acts as a velocity stack inside the air box. The CM-8009 is designed to increase power and torque, holds a large amount of dirt before cleaning is needed, and comes with step-by-step installation instructions in the box.
