Mercury Mercruiser 87-8M0083439 Smartcraft Troll Control Kit - Dash Mount - Analog

This kit can be used with any SmartCraft compatible Mercury Engine.

Troll Control allows you to set the trolling speed and set and maintain it without using the throttle. You can adjust the value set so the boat maintains a specific speed or engine RPM.

This device allows you to have the same functions that you get from the SmartCraft digital gauges. Adjust the speed of the boat by pushing the button up or down, you can feather your speed every 10 RPM. Go from idle to 1000 RPM or anywhere in between. RPM will reset to idle when more than 2‑3% movement occurs at the throttle (TPS).  Some engines can actually go lower than idle: 75‑115 4 Strokes, 135‑200 HP Verado 4 cylinders and 3.0L Optimax engines.

This pad does not need any other gauges to operate. Can be used with or without a junction box.  Can be used with any analog gauge installation with or without a J (junction) Box.

10 pin "Y" Harness to connect to main engine harness included. For Mechanical use only. Not compatible with DTS applications.

NOTE: Some engines have a low voltage RPM ramp up charge strategy at idle. For these engines, troll control will override this idle charge strategy.
