The Rock Hard Semi-Metallic Brake Pads, AT-05559 are replacement ATV brake pads made with a non-asbestos, semi-metallic carbon Kevlar aramid fiber compound from DuPont. They are one of the best all-round pad choices for performance riding because they have minimal fade at high temperatures and are well suited for most conditions.
When looking for brake pads, the key thing to remember is the coefficient of friction rating for that pad. This is a 2 letter ratings system. The first letter is the cold temp coefficient rating and the second letter is the hot temp coefficient. The higher the letters, the higher the coefficient of friction.
