The Turning Point MasterTorq Sound Dampening Propeller Hub Kit 801F, 11800100 is a genuine Turning Point Propellers hub kit for Mercury and Mariner outboards from 40 HP and up. It is one of the best propeller hub upgrades for noisy Mercury lower units because it combines the shift-shock and vibration dampening of a pressed-in rubber hub with the easy, by-hand replaceability of a drop-in hub.

The MasterTorq 800 Series SDH (Sound Dampening Hub) uses next-generation hybrid hub technology. It resolves a common outboard problem where noise at idle is transmitted through the lower unit by slack in the shift dog clutch assembly. A specially designed keyway system and a hi-tech polymer absorb shift shock and harmful vibrations, and the hub is engineered not to let loose and spin over time under normal use, a common problem with pressed-in rubber hubs. Some competing dampening hubs turn into a solid hub once they exceed their maximum flex point, which raises the risk of lower unit damage on impact. MasterTorq SDH is designed to break away like Turning Point's industry-leading MasterGuard® hubs, giving your gearcase more protection. Its small-diameter design allows more exhaust flow for more usable horsepower, and it adapts to your OEM thrust washer and prop nut.
